Maastomankeli 2024 on rento porukkalenkki pk-seudun metsiin. Reitti hyödyntää Helsingin ja Espoon parhaita polkuja. Tavoitteena on ajaa trail- ja enduro-henkisiä polkuja useammalla tasoryhmällä, joten voit osallistua olit sitten kokenut HKP:n kävijä tai vasta maastopyöräilyä aloitteleva kuski. Päivä starttaa Pasilasta ja huipentuu pizza-illalliseen ja saunaan Otaniemessä yhdessä Wappumankelin kuskien kanssa.
Maastomankeli/MTB Spin 2024 is a relaxed group ride in the forests of the capital region. The route will combine the best trails of Helsinki and Espoo. The idea is to ride a trail/enduro oriented ride with groups of multiple skill level, so you can participate whether you are a HKP local or just in the beginning of your MTB hobby. The day will start from Pasila and finish off with a sauna and a pizza dinner with the riders of Wappumankeli/Wappu Spin in Otaniemi.

Taustaa / Back story
Idea maastomankelista syntyi Bikepolin hallituksen kokouksessa Tammikuussa 2024, kun Wappumankeli 2024 järjestelyt olivat puheenaiheena. Jotta keväinen pyöräilytempaus voisi olla useamman pyöräilijän tapahtuma, tarvitsi sen sisältää myös maastopyöräilyosio. Näin syntyi maastomankelin idea.
The idea of Maastomankeli/MTB Spin was born during a Bikepoli board meeting in January 2024, when the subject at hand was organizing Wappumankeli/Wappu Spin 2024. In order to have a more equal cycling event in the best time of the spring, it had to have also a mountain biking part, of course. Thus, the idea of Maastomankeli/MTB Spin was born.
